Introduction to GIS for Libraries -

Want to learn more about Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and how GIS fits into the library's services? Then this half-day session is for you, featuring the talents of the University of Windsor GIS team that worked on the award-winning iCity site with Windsor Public Library.

Geospatial & Statistical Data in GIS Applications -

1:30- 4:30

If you have some experience with GIS or want to expand your knowledge from the introductory session, this half-day workshop will take you through using the software and resources that are available to maximize the benefits of GIS applications and data.

The Mostly Dynamic Duo: Art & Steve on building library applications with Zope & MySQL

8:30- 4:30

Zope and MySQL are two open source and widely used database applications for building everything from interactive web sites to managing committee documents. If you have material or processes that could use a database on the backend, this full day workshop will prepare you to take advantage of two freely available building blocks for putting together web-enabled library applications and services.
